Business court expanding into Florida’s Osceola County in 2023

Florida’s Ninth Judicial Circuit has had a business court since 2004 (with one relatively brief interruption). This business court has always been seated in Orange County, specifically in Orlando.

Beginning in 2023, the Ninth Circuit’s Business Court is physically expanding into Osceola County.  A court press release addressing this development can be found here. The court states:

“Beginning January 3, Judge John Jordan, the current Business Court judge in Orange County, will begin hearing Osceola business cases. Jury trials will be held at the Osceola County Historical Courthouse in Kissimmee.”
