New Complex Business Litigation Program Judge Named in Bergen County, New Jersey, Replacing Longstanding Business Court Judge

Pursuant to the February 7, 2023 Order of New Jersey Chief Justice Stuart Rabner, effective February 1, 2023, Bergen County Superior Court Judge Robert M. Vinci has been designated as that county’s Complex Business Litigation Program Judge.  A copy of the Order can be found here.

Judge Vinci will be replacing Judge Robert C. Wilson. Judge Wilson was the first Bergen County CBLP judge, and has served in that role since the CBLP began operations in 2015.  At the time of his designation, Judge Wilson was described as “a veteran business court judge, having overseen the Bergen county pilot program the new statewide program is replacing.”

Judge Wilson was one of the most prolific BCLP opinion writers in recent years, with six of his opinions posted to a New Jersey Courts publicly available opinion website in 2022 (out of a total of 21 posted for all BCLP judges),  four in 2021 (out of a total of eleven posted for all BCLP judges), six in 2020 (out of a total of eleven posted for all BCLP judges), and nine in 2019 (out of 22 total opinions posted for all BCLP judges).
